AnnaSophia Robb (TV's Mercy Street, The Carrie Diaries) plays a teen runaway who cons a mother into hiring her as a live-in caregiver for her 11-year-old autistic daughter in the trailer for the coming-of-age drama "Jack of the Red Hearts," which also stars Famke Janssen (X-Men) and Taylor Richardson (A Most Violent Year).

The indie film, which also stars Scott Cohen (TV's Allegiance), Israel Broussard (The Bling Ring), and John D'Leo (Unbroken), centers on an 18-year old runaway girl, named Jack (AnnaSophia Robb), who finds herself in a desperate situation where she must find a job and a place to live in order to save her little sister (Sophia Anne Caruso) from foster care.

When Jack sees an opportunity to work as a live-in nanny for an upper-middle-class family, she decides to pose as a well-behaved, experienced caretaker -- not knowing that the job would mean looking after a severely autistic child. So when Jack is hired by the child's mother (Janssen), she almost immediately gets a life lesson in humility and maturity.

Written by Jennifer Deaton, "Jack of the Red Hearts" is directed by filmmaker and autism advocate Janet Grillo, who previously helmed the 2011 autism drama "Fly Away."

"Jack of the Red Hearts" is getting a theatrical release (at select AMC locations) on February 26th.

synopsis:
Jack is a tough teenage runaway on the lam from her parole officer. The conniving street kid brazenly impersonates a trained caregiver and forms a unique bond with an 11 year-old autistic girl named Glory. The child's desperate mother Kay, also bonds with the imposter, as a surrogate daughter she can actually talk to. And the girl's cute older brother Robert falls in love. When the deception is exposed and the cops descend, loving father Mark struggles to hold his family together as the pieces of this puzzle are reshuffled into a new, satisfying whole.
