If you're a fan of bizarre sci-fi flicks done on ultra shoestring budgets, you may want to take note of this campy oddity of a movie, called "The Killer Robots! Crash and Burn."
Shot entirely on green screen and over the course of five years (primarily on weekends), the feature-length film was created by the Florida-based theatrical and multimedia rock band "The Killer Robots!" And as you might have guessed, the underground act features heavily costumed musicians dressed to look like metallic-colored "killer robots" that have crash-landed on Earth after a failed beer run in space. They're like the robot version of GWAR.
"The Killer Robots! Crash and Burn" has reached the final stages of post-production, and the makers of the film have stated on their website (at killerrobots.tv) that they are hoping to screen it at a couple of festivals and comic book conventions later this year. In the meantime, check out the film's new full-length trailer, above.
