Ever stop to think about what your pets are doing when you're away from home? It's a bit of a mystery, we know. But luckily, the mystery is revealed in a new full-length trailer for "The Secret Life of Pets."

The upcoming animated comedy, which comes from the makers of "Despicable Me," features the voices of comedians Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, and Eric Stonestreet.

When a small-size hound named Max (voiced by Louis C.K.) is forced to share his human owner's Manhattan apartment with a clumsy Shaggy dog named Duke (Stonestreet), the two odd couple soon find themselves lost in the city after an unfortunate mix-up with animal control had mistakenly removed them from their neighborhood. Now Max and Duke must put aside their differences and rely on a secret network of pets -- led by a high-strung bunny named Snowball (Hart) -- to help them get back home.

Co-starring Ellie Kemper, Steve Coogan, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Dana Carvey, Bobby Moynihan, Jenny Slate, and Albert Brooks, "The Secret Life of Pets" is directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me 1 and 2) and animator Yarrow Cheney. The film will be arriving in theaters this summer, beginning July 8th.

Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Max's life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. They have to put their quarrels behind when they find out that an adorable white bunny named Snowball is building an army of abandoned pets determined to take revenge on all happy-owned pets and their owners.
