Adrien Brody is haunted by ghosts in the new domestic trailer for "Backtrack," which also stars Jurassic Park's Sam Neill.

In this I-see-dead-people thriller that's written and directed by Australian screenwriter Michael Petroni (The Book Thief, The Rite), Brody dons his best Aussie accent and a stubble beard to play a troubled psychologist who starts to have terrifying visions of ghosts who are posing as his patients. The nightmarish visions are likely due to a past traumatic experience that he had suppressed years ago. And confronting those tormenting memories could, theoretically, cure him of all his ills.

Anna Lise Phillips (TV's Revolution), Bruce Spence (Mad Max films), George Shevtsov (Crawl), Jenni Baird (TV's The 4400) and Robin McLeavy (The Loved Ones) round out the cast.

"Backtrack" will be released exclusively on DirecTV's video-on-demand service this week, beginning January 28th, before hitting select theaters and VOD on February 26th.

synopsis:
Psychologist Peter Bower's (Adrien Brody) life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers that the patients he has been seeing are the ghosts of people who died twenty years ago. Risking his own sanity, Peter delves into his past to uncover a terrifying secret which only he can put right.
