Woooo! Do you remember the first time you heard Michael Jackson's "iconic yell" during the opening moments of the classic bass-driven dance song "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough? Well, music historian/drummer Questlove remembers quite fondly in the new 30-second trailer for "Michael Jackson's Journey From Motown to Off the Wall," the upcoming retrospective documentary from director Spike Lee.

The Showtime film, which premiered this past weekend at Sundance, explores Jackson's transformative years in the late '70s, during which he was producing his now-classic solo album "Off the Wall."

And this isn't the first time Spike Lee delved into the King of Pop's music career. The "Do the Right Thing" director previously covered Jackson's ground-breaking "Bad" album for the 2012 documentary "Bad 25." Spike has said that he would love to direct a documentary on Jackson's iconic "Thriller" album, capping off his "MJ" trilogy.

"Michael Jackson's Journey From Motown to Off the Wall" is set to premiere on Showtime next week, beginning Friday, February 5th.

synopsis:
Director Spike Lee documents an in-depth look into the evolution of The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and the cultural significance - and lasting impact - of his seminal first solo album as an adult, 'Off The Wall.'
