Around this time last year, the 17th-century-set supernatural thriller "The Witch" was terrifying audiences at Sundance. It's now ready to scare the crap out of the rest of the country as it will open nationwide next month.

And to get things rolling, the studio has released a new 30-second commercial for the atmospheric horror, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy (BBC's Atlantis), Ralph Ineson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) and Kate Dickie (Game of Thrones) as a Puritan family trying to build a farm in a remote area of New England, only to later discover the youngest member of the household has been taken by a baby-snatching demon that resides in the nearby woods.

Hitting theaters on February 19th, "The Witch" marks the auspicious feature debut of writer-director Robert Eggers.

New England, 1630: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another. 'The Witch' is a chilling portrait of a family unraveling within their own fears and anxieties, leaving them prey for an inescapable evil.
