BBC has released the first trailer for the six-part British miniseries "The Night Manager," based on the espionage novel by John le Carre, and starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki.

Hiddleston plays Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier who now works as the night manager of a prominent hotel in Cairo. When the notorious arms dealer Richard Roper (Laurie) suddenly arrives at that hotel with his wife (Debicki) and child, little does he know that the night manager, Jonathan Pine, has been secretly recruited by a British intelligence officer (Colman). So, what is Pine's assignment? He must do whatever it takes to infiltrate Roper's gun-smuggling ring -- even if it mean saving Roper's son from a failed kidnapping plot.

David Harewood, Tom Hollander and Tobias Menzies co-star.

Directed by award-winning Danish helmer Susanne Bier (In a Better World, Brothers, Serena) and written by "Hanna" scribe David Farr, "The Night Manager" premieres in the U.K. this spring. Meanwhile, in the U.S. the AMC network will begin airing the miniseries on Tuesday, April 19th.
