In the trailer for the Australian psychological thriller "Backtrack," Adrien Brody plays a troubled psychologist who, after years of not confronting a traumatic experience, realizes he's the one who needs a mental evaluation when he begins to see ghosts from his past.

Australian screenwriter Michael Petroni, whose screenwriting credits include "The Book Thief," "The Rite," and "Queen of the Damned," writes and directs this mind-bending thriller, which also stars Sam Neill (Jurassic Park), Bruce Spence (Mad Max films), George Shevtsov (Crawl) and Robin McLeavy (The Loved Ones).

"Backtrack," which premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival, doesn't have a U.S. release date. The film, however, will be released in the U.K. later this month, starting January 29th.

synopsis:
Psychologist Peter Bower's (Adrien Brody) life is thrown into turmoil when he discovers that the patients he has been seeing are the ghosts of people who died twenty years ago. Risking his own sanity, Peter delves into his past to uncover a terrifying secret which only he can put right.
