The newest trailer for director John Hillcoat's gritty cop thriller "Triple 9" shows Casey Affleck as a fresh-faced police officer who is trying to both make a difference and get home at the end of the night in one piece. It's a task made infinitely more difficult when Russian mob-connected bank robbers are secretly planning "something very BIG" that will likely shake the entire police department to its very core.
Playing a different kind of true detective, Woody Harrelson offers Affleck's character some nuggets of wisdom in the above trailer: "Out here, there is no good and there is no bad. To survive out here, you have to out-monster the monster."
Hillcoat, who previously directed the bootlegging drama "Lawless," the Cormac McCarthy post-apocalyptic thriller "The Road" and the Australian western "The Proposition," is helming from a script by crime screenwriter Matt Cook.
In addition to Affleck and Harrelson, the film features a stellar cast that includes Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie, Aaron Paul, Norman Reedus, Gal Gadot, and Clifton Collins Jr.
"Triple 9" (which is police code for officer down) will be arriving in theaters on February 26.

In TRIPLE 9, a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist and the only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for "officer down." Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck action-packed finale tangled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.
