Focus Features has released the first 30-second TV spot for the upcoming Jesse Owens biopic "Race."

The upcoming historical film, helmed by Emmy-winning director Stephen Hopkins (The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, 24), stars "Selma" actor Stephan James as the legendary Olympic sprinter and long jumper. The movie will mostly focus on the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics, in which Jesse Owens earned international fame for winning four gold medals -- a feat that is credited with crushing Hitler's racist theory of Aryan supremacy.

The cast also includes William Hurt, Jeremy Irons, Shanice Banton, and Carice van Houten while Jason Sudeikis, in a rare dramatic role, is playing Owens' track-and-field coach at Ohio State University.

"Race" is set to open February 19th.
