Tom Hiddleston seems to be living the Tangerine Dream in the new teaser trailer for his upcoming UK thriller "High-Rise," where he plays a doctor who just became the newest resident of a luxurious apartment in a high-tech concrete skyscraper which comes complete with all the amenities a young 1970s bachelor can handle.

The other tenants in Dr. Robert Laing's (Hiddleston) building include; Sienna Miller as a hot single mother living one floor up above the good doctor, while Luke Evans plays a charismatic documentarian living on the second floor with his pregnant wife (Elisabeth Moss). Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons stars as Mr. Royal, the enigmatic architect who designed the building which suddenly starts to have strange design flaws that soon trigger the once happy residents to turn against one another.

Based on the 1975 novel by J. G. Ballard, "High-Rise" is the latest thriller from English cult director Ben Wheatley (A Field in England, Sightseers) who is directing from an adapted script by his frequent collaborator Amy Jump. The film is currently set to open in the UK on March 18th, while an official U.S. release date is yet to be determined.

synopsis:
London, 1975. Robert Laing (Tom Hiddleston) is a young doctor seduced by the lifestyle in a high-rise, an isolated community, cut off from the rest of society in their luxury tower block, and its creator, the architect Anthony Royal (Jeremy Irons). Taking up residence on the twenty-fifth floor, Laing discovers a world of complex loyalties, and also strikes up a relationship with Royal’s devoted aide Charlotte (Sienna Miller). After Laing befriends Richard Wilder (Luke Evans), a documentary filmmaker relegated to the second floor who is determined to provoke the class injustices inherent in the high-rise, a dangerous social situation develops and the high-rise eventually fragments into violent tribes.
