Marvel's Daredevil: Season 2 — Promo Teaser

added: Thu, Jan 7th '16

He's just trying to make his city a better place. So, why does blind vigilante Matt Murdock feel so terribly guilty?

Perhaps Matt's sense of guilt is "an indication that his work is not yet finished." That's the sentiment expressed in a new promo teaser for the much-awaited second season of Netflix's hit Marvel series "Daredevil," starring Charlie Cox as the titular "man without fear."

Sadly, the clip doesn't show any actual footage from the new season, which is expected to include the introductions of Frank Castle (aka The Punisher), played by The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal, and dangerous assassin Elektra Natchios (G.I. Joe: Retaliation's Elodie Yung) who, in the comic books, is known for being Daredevil's most notable love interest.

However, the teaser does clear up a recent rumor regarding its release date. Netflix has confirmed that they will be releasing "Daredevil: Season 2" on Friday, March 18th (worldwide). Which is one week before the theatrical release of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Many had speculated that Netflix was going to release Daredevil's new season on the same weekend as "Batman v Superman," but it must've been a better idea to refrain from any head-to-head competition. No matter how you slice it, March will surely be a helluva month for superhero fans.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame -- Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
