In a new U.S. trailer for the western thriller "Jane Got a Gun," Natalie Portman is Jane Hammond, a strong-willed woman trying to survive "in a world of outlaws" as she is being pursued by a sinister gang of crooked bounty hunters -- led by Portman's fellow "Star Wars" prequel co-star, Ewan McGregor, who dons a jet-black mustache and nifty bowler hat to play the evil Colin McCann.
Portman also serves as a producer on the film, which also stars Australian actor Joel Edgerton (Black Mass, The Gift). Edgerton plays Jane's ex-boyfriend, a retired gunslinger, now-rancher who Jane turns to for help. He, of course, wants no part of Jane's mess as he is still very bitter. However, when he learns about the terrible things that the gang did to Jane's family, out comes the rifles and the six-shooters.
Directed by "Warrior" helmer Gavin O'Connor, "Jane Got a Gun" will be released in theaters January 29th.

Jane Got a Gun centers on Jane Hammond, who has built a new life with her husband Bill "Ham" Hammond after being tormented by the ultra-violent Bishop Boys outlaw gang. She finds herself in the gang's cross-hairs once again when Ham stumbles home riddled with bullets after dueling with the Boys and their relentless mastermind Colin. With the vengeful crew hot on Ham's trail, Jane has nowhere to turn but to her former fiance Dan Frost for help in defending her family against certain destruction. Haunted by old memories, Jane's past meets the present in a heart-stopping battle for survival.
