Fans of the hit biker gang series "Sons of Anarchy" would recognize actor Theo Rossi for his memorable turn as the fan-favorite character 'Juice' Ortiz. But since ending the show's seven-season run in late 2014, Rossi seems to have turned his attention to film work. The Staten Island-born actor is making his leading-man debut with the upcoming indie drama "Bad Hurt," for which a trailer was released today.

Also serving as a producer, Rossi stars as a lonely Staten Island bus driver who is trying to balance the demands of nursing his mentally challenged sister (played by newcomer Iris Gilad) and his PTSD-afflicted brother ("Limitless" actor Johnny Whitworth) with his career ambitions of becoming a New York police officer -- while striking up a potential romance with a single mother (How I Met Your Mother's Ashley Williams).

Directed by first-time helmer Mark Kemble from a script he co-wrote with Jamieson Stern, "Bad Hurt" also stars Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Michael Harney (Orange Is the New Black) as Rossi's emotionally drained parents.

"Bad Hurt" was well-received at last year's Tribeca Film Festival. The drama is now slated to hit select theaters and iTunes/VOD on February 12th.
