HBO isn't necessarily known for their kid-friendly programming. But that may change as soon as the start of next year.

The premium cable network had scored a huge five-year deal in August with "Sesame Street," nabbing the exclusive rights to air all-new episodes of the long-running children's educational series. Now HBO has released the first official trailer for Sesame Street's new season, and it looks ... well, "irresistible."

HBO plans to premiere the 46th season of "Sesame Street" on Saturday, January 16th. The cable deal also included the broadcasting and streaming rights to classic "Sesame Street" shows. Meanwhile, reruns of the new season will eventually air on PBS, likely in the fall of 2016.

synopsis:
Sesame Street will be just as you and your kids remember it. It will have the same lovable, furry Muppets and engaging, educational content, plus some exciting changes: Episodes are now a half-hour long, so there will be more shows to watch in each season. And come January, the show will have a beautiful new set and feature a fresh new opening sequence.

The new season of Sesame Street will begin on HBO on Saturday, January 16 starting at 9 a.m. It will also air in Spanish on HBO Latino at that time. Sesame Street will air every day at 8 a.m. on HBO Family as part of the morning KIDS block starting Sunday, January 17.
