It's the British equivalent of the underdog sports tale "Rudy." It also has the light comedic touches of "Cool Runnings." And it also has Wolverine, or rather Hugh Jackman playing a washed-up ski-jumping hero turned unconventional Olympic coach. Now, who wouldn't want to see that!

Check out the brand-new U.S. trailer for the feel-good British drama "Eddie the Eagle," in which a bespectacled Taron Egerton (star of "Kingsman: The Secret Service") plays Michael "Eddie" Edwards, a real-life British ski-jumper who beat seemingly insurmountable odds to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics and became a national hero in the process.

Produced by "Kingsman" and "Kick-Ass" director Matthew Vaughn and directed by actor-turned-helmer Dexter Fletcher, "Eddie the Eagle" also stars Christopher Walken, Jo Hartley, and Tim McInnerny. It's due to open in the U.S. on February 26.

Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself -- even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
