Martyrs — Trailer

The trailer has been released for "Martyrs," the upcoming English-language remake of the 2008 French cult horror film of the same name.

"Pretty Little Liars" actress Troian Bellisario, True Blood's Bailey Noble and Scandal's Kate Burton star in the film, which tells of two young female friends, bonded by their shared traumatic history of child abuse, who embark on a mission of revenge, only to have the tables turned on them when they find themselves trapped in a living hell of terror.

Directing brothers Kevin and Michael Goetz, who made their film debut with 2013's desert-road thriller "Scenic Route" with Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler, directs from an adapted screenplay by horror writer Mark L. Smith (Vacancy, The Hole).

"Martyrs" will be hitting theaters and on Digital HD January 22nd and will be made available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VOD February 2nd.

synopsis:
Ten-year-old Lucie flees from the isolated warehouse where she has been held prisoner. Deeply traumatized, she is plagued by awful night terrors at the orphanage that takes her in. Her only comfort comes from Anna, a girl her own age. Nearly a decade later and still haunted by demons, Lucie finally tracks down the family that tortured her. As she and Anna move closer to the agonizing truth, they find themselves trapped in a nightmare – if they cannot escape, a martyr’s fate awaits them...
