Check out a behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming biopic "Trumbo," starring Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston as the Oscar-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo who, in the 1950s, was blacklisted from Hollywood for his alleged ties to the Communist party.

The film tells the story during Trumbo's flourishing career as one of the highest paid and most respected screenwriters in Hollywood to his public fight against the House Un-American Activities Committee and his refusal to testify in their anti-Communist hearings -- which led to several years of being blackballed from every movie studio. Although Trumbo managed to work in secret, writing scripts for such Oscar-winning films as "Roman Holiday," "The Brave One" and "Spartacus."

Directed by Jay Roach (Game Change, Meet the Parents), and co-stars Elle Fanning, Diane Lane, John Goodman, Alan Tudyk, Michael Stuhlbarg, Louis C.K. Dean O'Gorman, and Helen Mirren. "Trumbo," is currently scheduled to open in theaters on November 6th.

The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. This film tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.
