The Peanuts Movie — Featurette: 'True To the Art'

added: Thu, Sep 17th '15

How exactly did the animated team behind the upcoming "The Peanuts Movie" turned legendary cartoonist Charles Schulz's expressive hand-inked drawings into three-dimensional CG-animated figures? Well, it wasn't easy, that's for sure, as the whole process took them two years to get it just right.

Watch a new "The Peanuts Movie" featurette that reveals a glimpse at how the artists at Blue Sky Studios translated the classic comic strip for the CG-animated feature film.

Directed by Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift) and produced by Paul Feig (Spy, Bridesmaids), "The Peanuts Movie" is due to open in 3D theaters on November 6th.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state-of-the-art 3D animation. Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle -- and flying ace -- embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest. From the imagination of Charles M. Schulz and the creators of the ICE AGE films, THE PEANUTS MOVIE will prove that every underdog has his day.
