"Black Mass," about the life of notorious Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger, could possibly be the movie that delivers Johnny Depp his fourth Oscar nomination, if not his first Oscar win. Early reviews for the Scott Cooper-directed crime thriller have been pretty stellar and Depp is getting most of the attention.

Speaking of which, you can now get an uncensored taste of Depp's stunning performance in the newly-released profanity-laden clip from the upcoming film, which also stars Aussie actor Joel Edgerton (The Gift) as an FBI agent who turns Bulger into an untouchable informant with a licence to kill.

"Black Mass," which features a strong ensemble cast that includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Peter Sarsgaard, Corey Stoll, Adam Scott, Jesse Plemons, Rory Cochrane and David Harbour, heads into theaters next week, September 18th.

In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James "Whitey" Bulger (Johnny Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the true story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.
