Cinemax's Outcast: Season 1 — Comic-Con Trailer

added: Sat, Jul 11th '15

"Gone Girl" and "Almost Famous" actor Patrick Fugit has a hair-raising encounter with a levitating boy in the first trailer for Cinemax's new exorcism series "Outcast," which is based on the horror comic book by "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman.

Fugit plays a small-town southern man with a strong personal history with demonic possession who teams up with a hard living evangelist Reverend (played by English actor Philip Glenister, of BBC's "Life on Mars") as they both embark on a spiritual journey that leads them in all sorts of spine-chilling investigations, including that of an eight-year-old demon-possessed boy (Gabriel Bateman, of TV's "Stalker").

Kirkman wrote the pilot episode, and will serve as an executive producer.

"Outcast" will premiere in 2016.

The series follows Kyle Barnes, (Patrick Fugit) a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child. Now an adult, he embarks on a journey to find answers but what he uncovers could mean the end of life on Earth as we know it.
