Now that summer is in full swing, Netflix has decided to drop an official full-length trailer for "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp," David Wain and Michael Showalter's 8-episode prequel to their 2001 cult comedy about a wacky group of camp counselors at a fictional kid-friendly retreat, Camp Firewood.

Set in 1981, the series will show how the not-so-young-looking counselors kicked off the summer season with much of the original cast returning, which includes Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Elizabeth Banks, Ken Marino, Zak Orth, Joe Lo Truglio, Janeane Garofalo, Marguerite Moreau, A.D. Miles, Molly Shannon and Christopher Meloni, just to name a few.

New faces to the series include Jason Schwartzman, Kristen Wiig, Lake Bell, Chris Pine, Josh Charles, John Slattery, Michael Cera, Jordan Peele, Weird Al Yankovic and an appearance from Jon Hamm in an hilarious fight sequence with Meloni's Vietnam war vet-turned-camp chef character, Gene.

"Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp" is set to premiere on Netflix starting July 31st.

Camp Firewood is more than just a summer camp. It's a way of life. Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood's famous summer season, now fourteen years after the film's debut.
