Mad Max: Fury Road — Featurette: 'Director George Miller'

If there's one person who is crazier than Mad Max, it would have to be the man who created him.

Get a peek into the insanity that is filmmaker George Miller in this new three-minute-long featurette, which shows how the Aussie madman shot his much-awaited and anticipated "Mad Max" reboot sequel. Which is a stunt-driven story he cooked up 12 years ago while flying on a long flight from Los Angeles to Sydney.

In the above video, Tom Hardy, who takes over the role of post-apocalyptic anti-hero Max Rockatansky in "Fury Road," best sums up what it was like to star in the fourth entry in the franchise: "You're not really in a movie, you're in George's head."

Prepare to go berserk when "Mad Max: Fury Road" hits theaters May 15th.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
