A 30-second commercial for Netflix's upcoming comic-book/action series, Marvel's "Daredevil," offers another peek at the origins of the famed blind crime-fighter.

English actor Charlie Cox, perhaps best known for his role as Nucky Thompson's Irish bodyguard on HBO's acclaimed Prohibition-era drama "Boardwalk Empire," plays visually-impaired attorney Matt Murdock who grows so frustrated with the recent surge of crime in his city that he turns to vigilantism to make it "a better place."

The 13-episode series, which will also see the rise of notorious mob boss Wilson Fisk, aka "Kingpin" (played by Vincent D'Onofrio), is slated to premiere next month, on April 10th. The show also stars Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood) and Elden Henson (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay).
