Aloha — Trailer

Following his Oscar-nominated turn as Chris Kyle in the Clint Eastwood-directed blockbuster hit "American Sniper," Bradley Cooper is once again starring in a military-themed film. Though this time, it's a straight-out romantic comedy that hails from Cameron Crowe, the writer and director of "Jerry Maguire" and "Almost Famous."

The first trailer for Crowe's Hawaii-set rom-com "Aloha" has been released, and not only does it show off Cooper's charming qualities, but also a megawatt cast that includes Emma Stone, Bill Murray, Rachel McAdams, John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin.

In typical Crowe-like fashion, the protagonist is a down-on-his-luck, hopeless romantic dude named Brian Gilcrest (Cooper). He's a military contractor who recently had a meltdown, which cost him his reputation. He returns to Hawaii, his "old stomping grounds," for a second chance, but yet finds himself rekindling his relationship with his ex-girlfriend (McAdams) while unexpectedly starting a new one with an upbeat Air Force liaison (Stone).

Despite its A-list cast and director, the upcoming Sony Pictures film recently endured some negative press as hacked e-mails revealed that studio executives at Sony weren't particularly pleased with the final product. Nevertheless, the movie stars Bradley Cooper, and right now at this very moment, he's as close to a sure bet as it gets.

"Aloha" is due to hit theaters on May 29th.

A 37-year-old disgraced US weapons consultant named Brian Gilcrest is disliked by most everyone. His only friend is a techie named Jeremy "a super-smart and highly aware computer". As a response to aggression from China, Gilcrest is deployed to a dormant military base in Hawaii to supervise the launch of an advanced spy satellite. Together with the anal and humorless Major Lisa Ng, he must secure the blessings of the native Hawaiian council before the launch. Gilcrest also gets a chance to meet with Tracy, the one love of his life who got away, along with her husband and two kids. On the island he discovers himself.
