Fans of comedian Amy Shumer's Emmy-nominated Comedy Central series "Inside Amy Schumer," included mega-producer Judd Apatow, who had asked Shumer to come up with a film script for him to produce and direct. After they scrapped her first attempt, they went with "Trainwreck," a story heavily based on Schumer's own life, in which she stars as a New York magazine writer living an unsuccessful dating life, until she meets Aaron (Bill Hader) whom she has yet to figure out if he is her "Mr. Right" or just another "Mr. Right Now." Check out the film's red band trailer, above.

"Trainwreck" will have an advanced "Work in Progress" screening next month at Austin's SXSW, with an official theatrical release scheduled for July 17th. The film also co-stars Brie Larson, Tilda Swinton, Ezra Miller, Colin Quinn, Barkhad Abdi, John Cena, Method Man, Marisa Tomei, and LeBron James.

Since she was a little girl, it’s been drilled into Amy’s (Schumer) head by her rascal of a dad (Colin Quinn) that monogamy isn’t realistic. Now a magazine writer, Amy lives by that credo—enjoying what she feels is an uninhibited life free from stifling, boring romantic commitment—but in actuality, she’s kind of in a rut. When she finds herself starting to fall for the subject of the new article she’s writing, a charming and successful sports doctor named Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), Amy starts to wonder if other grown-ups, including this guy who really seems to like her, might be on to something.
