Marvel's Daredevil — Trailer

Although Agents of SHIELDS and Agent Carter have both shown flashes of promise, Marvel's latest attempt at an original series could finally be the small-screen breakthrough the studio has been looking for. It has a gritty allure, a real comic-book hero at the center, and it doesn't have to adhere to network standards and practices as Marvel's newest superhero series, "Daredevil," is premiering on Netflix in April.

Featuring "Boardwalk Empire" star Charlie Cox in the title role, the 13-episode action-drama will explore the origins of blind attorney Matt Murdock, who is "just trying to make his city a better place." Meaning: he's trudging through darkened alleys of New York's Hell's Kitchen and fighting crime at night as a masked vigilante, who would eventually be known as "Daredevil."

Also starring Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood), Elden Henson (Hunger Games), Scott Glenn and Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin, "Daredevil" is set to debut on April 10th. In the meantime, you can watch the show's very first trailer, above.
