Guess who's back? Like a robot killing machine sent from the future, "The Terminator" franchise can't be stopped ... and it can't be bargained with, or be reasoned with. And it doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. So, why dont'cha sit down, strap in and watch the very first trailer for "Terminator Genisys," the fifth installment in the mega-popular sci-fi franchise.

Though the future still looks pretty grim, the past has been altered somehow. Future human resistance leader John Connor (Jason Clarke) still sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back in time to save Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) from a Terminator. But, surprise, John's mother isn't so defenseless now. That "timeline no longer exists" as Sarah has spent most of her young life under the tutelage of a certain (and aging) T-800 cyborg (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger).

Helmed by "Thor: The Dark World" and "Game of Thrones" director Alan Taylor, "Terminator Genisys" opens next summer, July 1st.

synopsis:
The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when Tech-Com spies reveal a new plot by Skynet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese back through time to save his mother's life and ensure his own existence. But what he finds on the other side is like nothing he ever expected. After being orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, Sarah Connor has since been brought up by another Terminator Model 101 programmed to protect her. This Terminator has then trained her to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject.
