Kingsman: The Secret Service — UK Trailer

He's Firth, Colin Firth ... and he's now a star, an action star. In the new international trailer for "Kingsman: The Secret Service," the Oscar-winning actor lets his "James Bond" flag fly, starring as an English gentleman secretly working for a British intelligence agency, who just happens to prefer his spy movies to have a "far-fetch theatrical plot," as opposed to today's "serious" types. It's a not-too-subtle gesture that director Matthew Vaughn ("X-Men: First Class") and his writing partner Jane Goldman ("Kick-Ass") have consciously made an action-crammed spectacle specifically aimed at a popcorn-flinging audience.

Based on a comic book series by writer Mark Millar ("Wanted" and "Kick-Ass") and artist Dave Gibbons ("Watchmen"), the film finds world-class espionage agent Harry Hart (Firth) recruiting a teenage dropout (played by newcomer Taron Egerton) for a top-secret training program designed to cultivate the next generation of Kingsmen. But when an evil scoundrel with biological weapons and a noticeable lisp (Samuel L. Jackson) plots world domination, the young "Kingsman" must prove he's the right man for the job.

Co-starring Michael Caine and Mark Strong with an appearance by Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" premieres in the UK on January 29th before opening the US on February 13th.

Based upon the acclaimed comic book, Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a super-secret spy organization that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
