The British Film Institute maintains its love and respect for Stanley Kubrick. After bringing the legendary director's classic Stephen King-based shocker "The Shining" back to UK cinemas in 2012, the film foundation is planning a similar theatrical re-release campaign next month for Kubrick's science-fiction masterpiece "2001: A Space Odyssey."

Beginning November 28 and expanding through the month of December, Kubrick's 1968 mind-bender will be returning to the big screen in the UK. And to promote the special occasion, BFI has unveiled this new stunning trailer, featuring a Christopher Nolan quote that pretty much wraps it all up: "There is only one Stanley Kubrick ... "2001" is pure cinema." Have a look, above.
