Writer-director David Ayer's WWII drama "Fury," starring Brad Pitt as a battle-hardened tank commander and Logan Lerman as Pitt's rookie tank driver, opens next week. The trailers and spots have consciously played up the brotherhood aspects of the drama, which follows a tight-knit U.S. tank crew as they push on into Germany during the final days of the war.

But if you think the horrors of combat has somehow been sugar-coated, well, this newly-released sneak peek clip clearly indicates the film isn't shying away from showing the less-than-flattering side of battle. Pitt included as he's seen scolding a panicking Lerman for not wanting to kill a captured Nazi soldier. Watch the slap-happy drama unwind, above. (We've also attached a second clip that features an intense action sequence involving Pitt's Sherman tank.)

synopsis:
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
