The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story — Five-Minute Opening Scene

added: Fri, Aug 22nd '14

"Saved by the Bell" may have been told through the point of view of Zack Morris. But the upcoming "Unauthorized" movie about the 90s Saturday morning tween sitcom is telling the story through the eyes of Samuel "Screech" Powers -- or rather his real-life alter ego, Dustin Diamond.

Supposedly, Lifetime's behind-the-scenes docudrama is only partially based on Diamond's 2009 much-disputed, tell-all book "Behind the Bell." However, this newly-released, five-minute opening scene from "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story" establishes and openly acknowledges Diamond as the principal teller of tales.

Get all the dirt on Kelly, Jessie, Lisa, Slater, Zack, and Screech when Lifetime airs the unauthorized "Saved by the Bell" movie on Monday September 1st (Labor day).

"The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story" delves into the experiences of six unknown young actors placed into the Hollywood spotlight, exposing the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen.
