Big Hero 6 — New Trailer

added: Tue, Jul 15th '14

When the "San Fransokyo" police department fails to take them seriously, a boy named "Hiro Hamada" and his robotic balloon sidekick, "Baymax," are left with no other choice, but to protect the city themselves from an evil kabuki mask-wearing foe and his army of flying "microbots." Or at least, that's what we can surmise from this exciting, new trailer for Disney Animation's forthcoming 3D superhero adventure flick "Big Hero 6."

Loosely inspired by the Marvel superhero team of the same name, "Big Hero 6" is Disney Animation's first attempt to apply Marvel characters (or rather loose versions of Marvel characters) in an animated setting since the two companies merged back at the tail end of 2009.

Produced by Roy Conli (Tangled), the animated film comes from directors Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt), and stars Ryan Potter (TV's Supah Ninjas) as "Hiro" and Scott Adsit (TV's 30 Rock) as "Baymax." T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr. and Genesis Rodriguez provide the voices of the remaining members of "Big Hero 6," while Maya Rudolph, James Cromwell, Alan Tudyk and Daniel Henney round out the supporting cast.

"Big Hero 6" opens this fall, November 7th.

Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, BIG HERO 6 is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius -- thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion -- a cutting-edge robot named Baymax -- and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.
