Guardians of the Galaxy — New 60-Second TV Spot and Featurette

When it comes to promotional ads for "Guardians of the Galaxy," Marvel's offbeat space adventure about a ragtag group of outlaws, enough is never enough. Especially, if the advertisements are jam-packed with adrenaline-driven action. And it appears the latest "Guardians" commercial continues to ramp up the excitement.

Set to The Runaways' classic guitar-heavy anthem, "Cherry Bomb," this newly-surfaced 60-second TV spot delivers another compelling peek at the team that has been chosen to save the Galaxy.

But why would Peter Quill, the self-appointed leader of the four-member "Guardian" crew, want to save the Galaxy before it gets annihilated by a shadowy attacker? The answer is simple, though more selfish than expected: "Because I'm one of the idiots who lives in it!"

Watch Chris Pratt, as Quill, deliver that line with furious gusto to a little snarky Raccoon named "Rocket" (voiced by Bradley Cooper) in this new promo. Or better yet, just mark your calendars for August 1st, and wait to watch the whole thing when "Guardians of the Galaxy" arrives at your local cineplex.

UPDATE: A new Behind-The-Scenes Featurette is now online with a lot more footage from the film, which is now added to the above video playlist.

Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" finds space adventurer Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.
