Bong Joon Ho, arguably the best Korean filmmaker working today, makes his English-language debut with this week's release of "Snowpiercer," the post-apocalyptic thriller about a revolt that occurs inside a permanent moving train, which is carrying the last remaining humans on a now frozen, uninhabitable Earth.

Besides starring Chris Evans and Jamie Bell as two oppressed passengers-turned-preeminent rioters, the film features another seemingly dazzling performance by a bespectacled Tida Swinton as Mason, the cold-hearted delegate in favor of crushing the uprising.

In this newly-released film clip (provided by, we see Swinton in all her phlegmy glory as she stares down an angry mob and delivers a mean-spirited tongue-lashing -- to which the mob responds with even more scowls and sneers.

"Snowpiercer" opens in select cities this Friday, June 27th.

A failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.
