Hands down. The most frightening scene from the recently-released final trailer for "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" (out on July 11th) was a sequence that showed a machine-gun-snatching ape named KOBA, who tricked two human guards into giving up a sip of their hooch before gunning them down.

FOX has released that film clip in its entirety, and it's hard to believe Koba wasn't physically real, but rather the invention of British actor Toby Kebbell (RocknRolla), who was simply donning an unflattering motion-capture suit. Hats off to Kebbell's stellar acting work, the special effects team, and director Matt Reeves for coming up with this hair-raising sequence that will surely leave an indelible mark.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
