War between man and primate seem inevitable. Or at least, that's the tense-filled predicament that simian leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) and family man Malcolm (Jason Clarke) are facing in the newly-released final trailer for "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes."

The new preview starts with Caesar declaring, "Apes do not want war." Although, if it means protecting his family and home, Caesar won't have any choice but to lead his army of genetically-evolved apes into a violent battle against the last living humans on Earth -- and that includes an ape-hating Gary Oldman and a military battleship floating off the coast of San Francisco.

The Matt Reeves-directed sequel -- which also stars Keri Russell and a mo-capped Toby Kebbell as the machine-gun-stealing Koba -- is bringing the inescapable brouhaha to theaters next month, July 11th.

UPDATE: A slightly different, international final trailer has also been released, which is now added to the above video playlist.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
