Lucy — New TV Spot

After getting abducted and surgically implanted with experimental narcotics by a ruthless crime syndicate, Scarlett Johansson finds out drugs aren't all bad in the newest TV commercial for Luc Besson's off-the-wall, action-thriller "Lucy."

Johansson plays a victimized woman who quickly goes from possible drug mule to super-powered avenging angel when she accidentally absorbs the mysterious contraband lodged in her stomach. Turns out, the wonder drugs have given her almost entire access to her brain.

As Morgan Freeman, who co-stars as the college professor that Lucy seeks the advice of, reveals in the 30-second spot, "At 24 percent, she can control the cells in her body (Lucy is seen immediately changing her appearance -- which includes sprouting another hand). At 40 percent, she can control matter (she is seen forcing cars off the road with just her brain). At 62 percent, she can control other people (Lucy can make a whole room of baddies fall to the ground without batting an eye)."

So, what happens when Lucy reaches 100 percent? Guess we'll have to wait until the movie opens on July 25th.

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
