The Equalizer — Trailer

Denzel Washington is once again a man on fire in the newly-released domestic trailer for the upcoming vigilante thriller "The Equalizer," in which he reunites with his "Training Day" director Antoine Fuqua to bring the cult 80s TV series to the big screen.

In the film, Washington plays Robert McCall, a former government operative, who can no longer stand idly by when he comes across a robbery at his workplace, which triggers him to dispense his kind of low-profile street justice. Shortly afterwards, McCall meets a young girl, named Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz). She intrigues him by her knowledge of Ernest Hemingway, but he becomes dismayed when he witnesses her being manhandled by Russian mobsters. However, when McCall learns Teri has been beaten and is now hospitalized, he does what any good samaritan would do: hunt down the Russian bastards who did the deed -- and if a street war breaks out as a result ... well, that suits McCall just fine.

Co-starring Oscar-winner Melissa Leo, Marton Csokas, David Meunier, Bill Pullman, and Johnny Messner, "Equalizer" heads into theaters on September 26th.

Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall's desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.
