The newest 30-second TV spot for "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," which recently aired during the NBA playoffs, features a bit of new footage and focuses on the menacing nature of Caesar's simian army.

In a world that has completely gone to crap (it's been a decade since the previous film), the apes are now a dominant force and seems to be thriving quite nicely without all those creature comforts, like "power, lights and heat." Whereas, the last surviving humans haven't been doing so well, and with each passing day their resentment towards their new tree-swinging neighbors intensifies. It's only inevitable that the threat of war rears its ugly head -- but if humans want to be triumphant, they better start improving their math skills: "That's a helluva lot more than 80!"

"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," which stars Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and a motion-captured Andy Serkis, opens on July 11th.

synopsis:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
