The Trip to Italy — New Trailer

British comedians-slash-dueling chums Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are back together again for another romp -- and yes, they're doing exactly what they love to do: flaunting their celebrity impressions and mocking their fellow actors, all while eating at four-star restaurants. Bon Appetit!

Here's the newly-released US trailer for "The Trip to Italy," Coogan and Brydon's second and largely-improvised cuisine tour, in which filmmaker Michael Winterbottom again directs -- this time filming the bickering twosome as they travel through the gorgeous Italian countryside and stopping at six restaurants for six incredible meals.

Like the 2010 original cult hit, "Italy" was initially a BBC mini-series, which aired earlier this month in the UK, but has since been converted into a feature-length comedy for America. The film, which premiered to strong reviews at this year's Sundance, is slated to open in US theaters on August 15th.

Michael Winterbottom's largely improvised 2010 film, The Trip, took comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon -- or semifictionalized versions thereof -- on a restaurant tour around northern England. In this witty and incisive follow-up, Winterbottom reunites the pair for a new culinary road trip, retracing the steps of the Romantic poets’ grand tour of Italy and indulging in some sparkling banter and impersonation-offs. Rewhetting our palates from the earlier film, the characters enjoy mouthwatering meals in gorgeous settings from Liguria to Capri while riffing on subjects as varied as Batman's vocal register, the artistic merits of "Jagged Little Pill," and, of course, the virtue of sequels...
