Anna — Trailer

His tendency to always get cast as a Hollywood villain was mocked in a recent Super Bowl advert. But British actor Mark Strong is now the one getting victimized in the new US trailer for the psychological thriller "Anne." And the culprit is none other than a young devious schoolgirl (played by American Horror Story's Taissa Farmiga).

Strong plays a brilliant psychiatrist who investigates disturbing criminal cases by diving into the memories of traumatized victims -- he's basically the mind whisperer. He meets his match, however, when he examines a young troubled teenager (Farmiga) who's accused of attempting to kill three of her classmates. Things take a twisted turn when he finds himself caught in a warped mind game, in which the girl is trying to frame him for murder.

"Anna," which is internationally known as "Mindscape," was produced by Spanish filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra (of "Orphan" and "Unknown" fame) and helmed by former assistant director Jorge Dorado, who makes his feature directorial debut. Co-starring Brian Cox, the film debuts in the states on iTunes/VOD next week, on May 6th and hits theaters on June 6th.

Leading man Mark Strong plays John Washington, a detective with the unique ability to enter people's minds and memories (presumably to help people recall event details pertinent to solving cases). Washington takes on the case of a troubled teenage girl named Anna, played by up-and-coming young actress Taissa Farmiga, who is accused of an attempted triple homicide. To uncover the mystery surrounding Anna and her story, Washington will enter her mind and try to find out the truth: is Anna capable of killing, or is there something hidden in her memories that shows otherwise?
