Stage Fright — First 10 Minutes (NSFW)

It's "Scream" meets "Glee," and you can now watch the first ten minutes of it.

Satirizing both the slasher horror genre and the overly-cutesy teen musical, "Stage Fright" revolves around a snobby musical theater camp for kids that winds up being the target of a musical theater-hating masked killer. Allie MacDonald stars as Camilla, a teen girl with aspirations of becoming a Broadway star, like her golden-voiced mother (played by Minnie Driver) -- and, as you'll see in this ten-minute opening clip, Camilla's mother has a singing voice that only a masked killer can hate.

Written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Jerome Sable, "Stage Fright," which premiered recently at SXSW, also stars Grammy-winner Meat Loaf. The film is now available on iTunes/VOD and will be hitting theaters on May 9th.

Starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a Broadway diva, but she's stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp. Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theatre.
