The upcoming sequel to director Marc Webb's "Spider-Man" franchise is not all about Spidey's herculean quest to shut down Oscorp Industries and the villains they spawned. No-no-no. Leave it to the director of "500 Days of Summer" to make sure there's still room for some romantic suspense.

The new featurette for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" examines a lover's quarrel subplot concerning Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. It seems Gwen is still struggling with the idea of dating a person who's essentially living two lives -- one being the life of a superhero who always appears busy with "doing whatever it is he does." So, when Gwen is given the opportunity to go to school in London on an Oxford scholarship -- well, she must figure out if her relationship with Peter is really worth saving.

Will Spidey have his heart broken? Will Gwen really leave New York for England? How the hell does The Rhino fit in this damn story? All our questions will hopefully be answered when "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" crawls into theaters on May 2.

synopsis:
It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
