Veronica Mars: The Movie — Opening Sequence

added: Mon, Mar 3rd '14

Who is this "Veronica Mars" woman, you speak of -- and why is she snooping around, solving murders? Well sure, for those moviegoers who never watched the short-lived TV series, the "Veronica Mars" movie will pose somewhat of a challenge. But nothing that a two-minute recap can't remedy.

Check out the opening sequence for the upcoming big-screen version of TV's "Veronica Mars," which aims to enlighten non-"marshmallow" fans with a mosaic-like montage, running through the events that happened in the show's three seasons.

In the film, Kristen Bell reprises the title character, a former teen sleuth, who years ago left her beach-side hometown of Neptune for big city aspirations, but is drawn back to her old stomping grounds for a new murder mystery that involves a former high school flame. Speaking of which, she's back just in time for her 10-year high school reunion, a celebration that she doesn't feel much like celebrating.

"Veronica Mars," which was famously funded by a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, opens in theaters and VOD, March 14.

Years after walking away from her past as a teenage private eye, Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) gets pulled back to her hometown, an ex-boyfriend with baggage, and an unraveling murder mystery.
