Greg Kinnear is a father of a young boy who, after a near-death experience, starts to have premonitions in the newly-released trailer for the upcoming religious-themed drama "Heaven Is For Real."
Based on the NY Times bestseller by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent, the Christian-friendly movie centers on Colton, a small child who gets in an accident, sent to the emergency room where he slips into unconsciousness and awakes up believing he had entered heaven and can now communicate with past souls. Using his new talents to inspire fellow believers, the boy slowly convinces his father (Kinnear) and mother (Kelly Reilly) after sharing amazing personal details on their past relatives -- people of whom he had never met and details that is impossible for him to have known.
Directed by Randall Wallace (The Man in the Iron Mask, We Were Soldiers), the film also stars Margo Martindale and is scheduled to be released in theaters on Easter Weekend. (Watch the trailer, above.)
A real-life couple whose son Colton (newcomer Connor Corum) claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience. Colton recounts the details of his amazing journey with childlike innocence and speaks matter-of-factly about things that happened before his birth ... things he couldn't possibly know. Todd and his family are then challenged to examine the meaning from this remarkable event.
