The Lone Ranger — Super Bowl Spot

The last time Johnny Depp played an American Indian was in his 1997 directorial debut of the indie drama "The Brave," in which he starred alongside his friend and mentor Marlon Brando. The film was criticized and panned by critics that eventually it forced Depp to refuse a US theatrical release. Think it's safe to say that after watching the first two trailers and this all new Extended 90-second Super Bowl Spot (above) for "The Lone Ranger," American audiences should have nothing to fear about a similar fate. This one is definitely coming to the big screens this summer.

"The Lone Ranger" starring Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp will ride into theaters nationwide on July 3rd.

"The Lone Ranger" is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice -- taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
