Admission — Extended TV Spot

added: Sun, Feb 3rd '13

Before "30 Rock" became a critical hit on television, Tina Fey was generating a pretty decent movie career (Date Night, Baby Mama, and Mean Girls). Now after a seven-season run on NBC, the acclaimed comedy series is finished, giving her some room for another shot at movie stardom. She will next grace the big screen, starring opposite Paul Rudd, in the upcoming comedy "Admission," about a self-conscious college admission officer (Fey) who gets an invite by her former college classmate (Rudd) to visit his bohemian-type school campus, where students are encouraged to develop their originality.

Directed by Paul Weitz (Little Fockers, About a Boy), "Admission" received this extended TV spot (posted above). It plays up the romantic relationship between Rudd and Fey's characters through some charming scenes involving a pregnant cow, and Fey's gun-toting mother (played by Lily Tomlin). The movie will be opening in theaters on March 22nd.

Admission is about the surprising detours we encounter on the road to happiness. Straight-laced Princeton University admissions officer Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) is caught off-guard when she makes a recruiting visit to an alternative high school overseen by her former college classmate, the free-wheeling John Pressman (Paul Rudd). Pressman has surmised that Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), his gifted yet very unconventional student, might well be the son that Portia secretly gave up for adoption many years ago. Soon, Portia finds herself bending the rules for Jeremiah, putting at risk the life she thought she always wanted -- but in the process finding her way to a surprising and exhilarating life and romance she never dreamed of having.
