The End of Love — Trailer

We've seen plenty of films about single mothers struggling to raise their children. But how many movies actually featured the plight of single-parent fathers? Well, here you go! Enter, the trailer for "The End of Love," the new indie drama from actor-turned-director Mark Webber. It's his second directing effort, in which he plays a 30-something man trying to balance his responsibilities of raising his young son with his uncertain career as a working actor. It looks like a deeply personal story for Webber, considering his character's name is Mark, and has cast his real-life son (Issac) to play his fictional boy in the film. Plus, it seems he also asked many of his acting buddies (Michael Cera, Aubrey Plaza, Amanda Seyfried and Shannyn Sossaman) to join him. Take a look, above.

The movie, which premiered at last year's Sundance film festival, will be getting a limited theatrical release on March 1st, but you can catch this one on iTunes/VOD starting next week on January 21st.

When the mother of his two-year-old son Isaac suddenly passes away, struggling actor Mark (played by writer/director Mark Webber) is forced to grapple with his ability to grow up. As he kindles a relationship with a young single mother (Shannyn Sossamon), he begins to realize that he can no longer remain in denial about the real-life consequences his choices have on Isaac (Isaac Love, Webber’s real-life son). Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles, The End of Love is an intimate and stunningly honest portrait of a young father in transition between the life he’s been working for and the one that’s waiting for him.
