The Factory — Trailer

Apparently, the suspense thriller "The Factory" starring John Cusack as a frantic detective searching for his abducted daughter, has quietly been collecting dust for years, until Warner Bros finally decided to set up a DVD release on February 19th. The movie, directed by Aussie helmer Morgan O'Neill (who just finished the surfing flick "Drift" starring Sam Worthington), has released this new trailer, posted above.

Though the film appears to be a rather typical thriller, the preview does offer us a look at the always-reliable Cusack as a determined cop with only a limited number of hours to save his kidnapped daughter (Mae Whitman) from a psychotic killer, who seemingly loves to collect his victims in an underground dungeon before he impregnates them and kills them off. Yes, it sounds foolish, and looks foolish too. However, with Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter co-starring as Cusack's partner, this might be the perfect late-night viewing when it eventually debuts on cable TV.

A killer roams the streets, abducting women on cold, quiet nights. Detective Mike Fletcher (John Cusack) is the one cop on the force bent on bringing him to justice.
